3. Youth Exchange Program on 7th to 9th October 2022.

ROTARY INTERNATIONAL YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

A short program followed by dinner, was held on the evening of 7th October 2022, at the Old NEHU guest house after the visiting students arrived from Guwahati.
Students from France, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Spain and Japan participated. Chairman youth exchange programme Rtn Shobha Nahar Dist 3131 and Rtn Priyama Goswami Rai, District Coordinator were also present. Cultural programme of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo dances were performed by groups from ICCR. Welcome speech was delivered by Rtn Dr Devesh Walia, President RCOC, a talk on Meghalaya and local culture of Meghalaya was given by President RCS Rtn Deeya Rathore, and a talk on Youth Exchange was given by PDG Dr Debasish Das; Vote of thanks was delivered by Rtn Dr Barnali Bhuyan, President RCSH. A few visiting students also spoke on the occasion. On 8th October 2022 Rtn Gurmeet Singh accompanied the group of students and accompanying Rotarians on a tour of Shillong city. On 9th October 2022 Rtn Dr G P Terang accompanied the same group for a visit to Sohra.
