4. Gifting Sewing Machine to Shubham Charitable Association on 14th October2022.

SEWING MACHINES PROJECT REPORT

Sewing machines received as part of District Grant were handed over to Shubham Charitable Association at Rilbong, Shillong on the 14th of October. Shubham Charitable Association runs a Vocational Centre and tailoring is part of its activities. Members visited the Association and were warmly welcomed and felicitated with a potted plant, a journal about the activities of Shubham as well as a jute bag each, made by the trainees of the Association.
Mrs Pushpa Bajaj of Shubham Charitable Association gave a short talk highlighting the areas where the Association is active in, and this was followed by a brief cultural program by the trainees. President RCS Deeya Rathore expressed the pleasure of Rotary being associated with such a noble cause like vocational training of marginalized women; This same sentiment was echoed by Rtn Kishan Tibrewalla and Rtn Dr Ashim Das who also spoke on the occasion.
