CLUB SERVICE ACTIVITY cum SCREENING OF AWARD WINING SHORT FILM “KUMU”

IN A REGULAR WEEKLY MEETING ORGANISED IN PWD AUDITORIUM, UNDER CLUB SERVICE ACTIVITY cum SCREENING OF AWARD WINING SHORT FILM "KUMU"

Meeting was called to order by President. National anthem was rendered by the members present lead by lady rotarians. Welcome address was given by Rtn. Gayatree Goswamee. Condolence messages were read out for bereaved family of Rtn George and Rtn Probin Borthakur, whose mother had expired recently followed by a 2 minute silence. Birthdays & anniversary wishes to members were announced. President thanked all participating members for concluded OBESITY CAMP. A report on such camp was given by Rtn ATANU. It was decided that a Polio awareness program at USTM be organised.

Much awaited Guest Speaker of the evening Ms. Akanshya Bhagawati (Film director) was escorted to the Dias and felicitated. Introduction of guest speaker was given by Rtn Indira Bardoloi, followed by presentation by the Guest speaker about her film fetching different awards and how she planned and prepared the film with difficulty during covid time.

Screening of SHORT FILM KUMU was done with almost a packed auditorium. The Director of the film Ms. Akanshya Bhagawati was accompanied by her family members and the Club felicitated her Old aged Grand Mother by a Gamocha and rose.

Statistics was read out by secretary, 40 Rotarians, 8 Rotaractors and 5 Rotarylets and remaining 42 Guest altogether 95 audience were present. Vote of thanks was given by Rtn Robin Kalita. Fellowship was arranged partly by club and partly (jointly) by Rtn Mahim C deka, Rtn. Gayatree Goswamee and Rtn Arnab Biswas
