On the auspicious occasion of International Day of Peace, on 21st September, the Rotary Club of Greenland Silchar and the Inner Wheel Club of Greenland Silchar along with the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) organized a Distribution Programme at Silchar Central Jail. Both Clubs distributed Five numbers of Ceiling Fans for the welfare of female inmates within the central jail. Rotary Club President Rtn Amalendu Basak, Club Secretary Rtn Saurav Chakraborty and Inner Wheel Club President Supriya Chakraborty along with the members from both Clubs were present and handed over the Ceiling Fans to the female inmates. Jail Superintendent Jagadish Deka, DLSA Secretary Dr Siddhartha Sankar Sharma, DLSA official Ms.Tumpa Rajbongshi with Jail authorities were present in the said programme.
