END POLIO NOW

World Polio Day is observed on 24th October every year. This year on 24th October, RC Silchar Pink members along with members of all other Rotary Clubs of Silchar organised an Awareness Rally in the morning. Members of RC Silchar Pink distributed hundreds of END POLIO NOW Badges to Rotarians as well as others to spread awareness amongst common men and women. The rally was successfully done despite of heavy rain. AG Rtn. Chandana Purkayastha inaugurated the rally. President Rtn. Samita Dutta and 5 other members participated in the rally.

On 26th October a Polio Awareness program was organised for school children. END POLIO NOW badges were distributed among the students and President Rtn, Samita Dutta discussed the role of Rotary in eradicating Polio from this world. She also said till date only 2,3 countries have very few cases of Polio and that is why we should be careful so that we could made this world completely Polio free.
