Rotary Club Shillong Heritage celebrated the Basic Education and Literacy Month with the felicitation of Teachers from five schools of Shillong including a teacher from Dwar Jingkyrmen, A School for students in need of special education. The five teachers are Smti Betshwa War, Shri. B.B. Sarki, Smti. Rika Baruah, Shri Wallam Kynsai and Smti Binita Dey Kar. All the Awardees were given a shawl, citation and a sapling. On the occasion the Club also donated Rs. 51,000 to Shivam Maharaj, a student of NIT, Rourkella coming from economically weaker section from Shillong as Literacy Support for pursuing his M.Sc.
