Project Description:--:
RC Golaghat has successfully organised a Free Eye Check-up Camp at Borguri, Aka Malua Gaon, a remote interior village under Golaghat district on 10th December, 2022 in collaboration with Eye Deptt. of SKK Civil Hospital, Golaghat under the National Programme for Control of Blindness & Visual Impairment. Dr. Rajiv Kr. Prasad, SDMO, SKK Civil Hospital, Golaghat led the medical team at the site. Bonti Gramya Sangothon, a federation body of local SHGs extended local support in the event.

Altogether 87 nos. of persons of the area have checked-up their eyes, of which 16 cataract cases have been diagnosed by attending doctors for free cataract operation at Eye Deptt of SKK Civil Hospital after carrying out necessary advanced Check-up at the Hospital. Besides, those prescribed power eye-glasses in the camp were also eligible to receive free power glasses with frame from the Hospital under the said National Programme. Free medicines were also provided at the camp.
