health talk on Adolescent health

Children are the future of our country.These young minds are like sponges soaking up all the knowledge that they come across.We ,Rotary Medics recognise the potential of these vibrant minds and therefore as our small contribution towards a liberal society where women have equal respect and opportunities we conducted a health talk on Adolescent health.We are indebted to the school authorities of Hebron School,Shivmandir for recognising the importance of educating boys too about the physiology of the female body so that they learn to appreciate their female counterparts as individuals instead of mere objects of lust and gratification.The session was conducted in the Hebron school auditorium by Dr. Smita Das Ghose,Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (also the Editor of Rotary Club of Siliguri,Medics)and was attended by 200 students and around 10 teachers.It was a very insightful and interactive session where children learnt about the changes that happen in the male and female body during adolescence and how to develop good hygiene practices besides sex education
