Hosting of 12 Rotary International Youth Exchange Students

Rotary Club Shillong Heritage hosted 12 of the RI youth Exchange Students along with two other clubs of Shillong namely Rotary Club Shillong and Rotary Club of Orchid City from the 7th - 9th of October. They were accompanied by Rotarians from host District RID 3131. 6 students were from Brazil, 2 each from France and Spain and 1 each from Germany and Japan. 2 of the Brazilian students stayed with the President of Rotary club Shillong Heritage. A joint club meeting was held with a colourful local dance depicting the rich cultural heritage of the ethnic groups of this region namely the Khasi , Jaintias and the Garos by the students of ICCR. The program was attended by representatives of all the three clubs and the students were also taken around to show the beautiful city of Shillong and for a day trip the following day to Cherrapunjee / Sohra. The students appreciated their short stay in Meghalaya which is also called the "Abode of the Clouds "
