Installation of Interact Club of dr. Graham’s Homes Kalimpong

The 22nd Installation of the Interact Club of Dr. Graham's Homes Kalimpong was held on 19th Sep at 2.00 PM at the Jarvie Hall. It was like a Rotary Meeting as the Chief Guest was Rtn Pravin Pradhan, Headmaster of DGH. Two of the faculty members, Mrs. Bandana Pradhan and Mrs. Sonia Dalmia, are Anns of Rotarian of the Club. The Guest of Honour was President CA Rtn Sumit Jindal. Also on the stage were the Vice President Rtn Sheila Rai Fudong and Secretary Rtn Col AK Gogoi along with President Intr Nidhi Subba and Secretary Intr Tenzing Chuki of the Interact Club of DGH. The Installation Ceremony was attended by a large No of Rtns including the First Lady Ann Suruchi. Interactors from SAS and Vrindavan School along with their faculty counsellors Mr. Anurag and Ms Pooja Gupta were also present.
Khadas were offered to all guests. A total of 71 Interactors, including Board Members were inducted in a ceremonious manner. They were also felicitated with Khadas. The oathtaking ceremony was conducted by the New Gen Director Vice President Rtn Sheila Rai Fudong while the Lapel Pins were handed over by the President of RC Kalimpong, the First Lady, Chief Guest as well as other Rotarians present for the occasion. The President CA Rtn Sumit Jindal gave a wonderful speech, inspiring and motivating the Interactors. Rtn Pravin Pradhan mentioned his journey in Rotary and reminisced how he started the Interact Club at DGH. He was the first faculty counsellor of the club and later joined the Club as a Rotarian. Interact Club of DGH is one of the oldest clubs and has till date preserved its Charter of the Club safely. The proceedings were made lively by Intrs Niwang Bal and Tenzing Chuki who enthralled the audience by their lovely songs. The programme concluded with tea and fellowship.
