29th September 2021 is celebrated in Rotary all over India as Diabetes Screening Day. Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta has given a call to all the Clubs in India with a slogan 1NATION, 1 DAY, 1 MILLION to go for diabetes screening camp all over the country.
RC Silchar Pink has organised such a camp at BIOMED SQUARE. Rtn. Dr. Bijoylakshmi Das Choudhry and Rtn. Dr. Priyanka Sinha were in charge of the camp. 57 persons were examined for blood sugar and 12 persons were detected with high sugar level. Dr. Priyanka Sinha has given them prescription for further investigation and necessary medicines .
Dr. Ranabir Paul, proprietor of BIOMED diagnostic centre has done all arrangements for the camp. Secretary Rtn. Chandana Purkayastha, Rtn. Santa Roy, Rtn. Dopati Paul, Rtn. Dr. Bijoylakshmi Das and Rtn. Dr. Priyanka Sinha were the members present in the screening camp. Mr. Kalam Barlaskar and Miss Jyoti Sinha were the technicians present to test the blood sugar.
