Vidyasagar Park which is located at a prime place in Asansol Megacity was not being maintained at all for the past few years. Rotary Club of Asansol Greater under the guidance of the Club President and Club Secretary took the initiative to maintain the Park. The Asansol Municipal Corporation handed over the responsibility of maintenance of the Park for Two years to Rotary Club of Asansol Greater. Not only the Park but the statue of Shri Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar which is situated in this Park was also renovated under the guidance o Club President and Club Secretary of f Rotary Club of Asansol Greater.
