With an effort to bust the taboos related to menstruation and elevate awareness regarding menstrual hygiene,an interactive session was conducted at the Dr. Rajendra Prasad Girl’s high school, Dangipara, Siliguri by the Rotary IWC Siliguri Midtown in association with Rotary Club Of Siliguri Medics.

Joint Secretary of Rotary Club of Siliguri Medics Dr. Pronomita Ghosh beautifully demonstrated the correct usage of menstrual cups and proper disposal of sanitary pads. She also emphasised on the importance of nutrition and personal hygiene especially during menstruation.

Packets of sanitary pads and refreshments were distributed amongst 300 school girls.

The programme ended with felicitation and a vote of thanks by the School Head Mistress mrs. Sanchita Deb
