MENSTRUATION & MENSTRUAL HYGIENE

An educative session on MENSTRUATION & MENSTRUAL HYGIENE was organized for girls of ‘Matigara Balika Vidyalaya’ on 12/09/2022 Monday by IWC Siliguri Uttorayon Aura in association with Lions club of Siliguri Terai Oorja & Rotary Club Of Siliguri Medics.

Renowned Gynaecologist & Joint Secretary of Rotary Medics, Dr.Pronomita Ghosh lead the programme with one on one interaction with the students. She beautifully demonstrated the proper use and sterilisation of Mentrual cups and correct disposal of tampons & sanitary pads. She also emphasised on the importance of handwashing, nutrition and personal hygiene practices especially during menstruation.

The programme received immense accolades and appreciation from the students and the School management including Head Mistress Mrs. Debdani.

The programme ended with Ribbon cutting followed by installation of Sanitary Pad Vending machine & distribution of free sanitary napkins amongst 150 students.
