Rotary club of Silchar celebrated the 74th Republic day in a grand manner. The flag hosting was done at 8am followed by refreshment. Members of Rotaracters and InnerWheel joined the program. Later on community feast was inaugurated at 1 pm by our honorable MP Dr Rajdeep Roy. Approximately 1050 people were served lunch. Honourable MP Dr Rajdeep Roy took a quick tour of our club building where he was briefed about our permanent projects and ongoing community service program. He was very happy about our role in the Society and Rotary’s contribution towards the community. He assured us of all help from his side in our service activities. Games were also organised amongst the underprivileged children of the local community, later members distributed sweets and educational materials to the children.
