Rotary Club of Gauhati West organised Zonal Youth Conference on 'Peace for the Survival of the Human Race' in Alumni Hall, Cotton University on 14th November. Prof Noni Gopal Mahanta was the Chief Guest. Mr. Nilay Banerjee working for the UN addressed the gathering online from Malaysia. A total of 20 participants from various colleges took part in the speech competition where the Best Speaker and the Second-Best Speaker were awarded with certificates and citations. Peace scholar Dr. Sangeeta Kakoty of Arya Vidyapeeth College, AG Rtn Bibhuti Dutta and Rtn Jayabrata Banerjee comprised the panel of judges. The programme was followed by lunch.
