Siksha Samman: An Honour to Teachers

Project Overview:--: On the Teachers Day we feliciated two teachers, who have given their life for the betterment of the society and it was an immense pleasure to have them with us.
Project Description:--:
On 5th September in our regular weekly meeting, we celebrated Teacher’s Day by felicitating two renowned educationist with Siksha Samman.The two teachers felicitated are Prof. Shukla Deb Kanango and. Sk Samsul Alam. Prof Kanango is a retired professor from Social Welfare department, Viswa Bharati. After retirement she has started a “Shanti trust” with a mission to provide training to the youth and underprivileged children. Dr.Sk Samsul Alam is a mathematician and has been awarded with many awards for his contribution in the field of mathematics. Both of them gave an interesting talk on their respective field of work. The programme was conducted by our vocational service chairperson Prof Malay Mukhopadhyay. The felicitations were given by our club trainer PDG Rtn. Ashok Agarwal, our club mentor Past AG Rtn. Kailash Pattanaik. And Foundation chairperson Rtn. Sandip Chattopadhyay.
