Stationery and Student Sponsorship

The Interact Club of St Augustine’s School held a programme on 26th Nov ‘22 to distribute stationery to the students of three primary schools viz Gyankul, Ringkingpong and Chibbo Schools, located in Chibbo Busty and to also sponsor the education of Sujal Tiruwa, for the following year in Class VI in Kumudini Homes School. The venue was the Glenn Family Foundation Learning and Information Centre in Chibbo Busty. The President Rtn CA S Jindal, the PE Rtn M Agrawal and the New Gen Dr Rtn S R Fudong attended on behalf of RC Kalimpong. The programme began with the singing of the National Anthem. The welcome address was given in impeccable Nepali by the Secretary of the SAS Interact Club, Itr Akash Pradhan. Khadas were presented to the guests as well as the heads of the three primary schools. Following this the Presd Rtn CA S Jindal spoke about the importance of education. He also explained what an Interact Club was. The New Gen Dr also spoke a few words. The Presd of the SAS Interact Club Itr Advait Sharma shared the vision of their club before proceeding to hand out the stationery along with his fellow Interactors. The scholarship was also announced. The Headmistress of Gyankul School expressed gratitude to the boys for their selfless work and so did a student of her school. The programme ended with an expression of thanks by Itr Akash Pradhan followed by tea and snacks.
