Rotary Club of Gauhati South (RCGS) in collaboration with The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati (an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India), celebrated the “International Day of Women and Girls in Science” with the on 10th February 2023. More than thirty girls, students from different branches of sciences from nearby colleges, came for a day-long program, including a laboratory visit to IASST laboratories and an interactive session with the women scientists of IASST. Prof. A K Mukherjee, Director, IASST, gave welcome address, followed by inaugural speech by Mr. Nabajyoti Sharma, elected President, RCGS and Dr. Indira Bardoiloi, Chairperson of RCGS, spoke about the objective of the meeting, a digital presentation of RCGS by Mr. P.D. Choudhury. Vote of thanks by Dr. Subir Biswas, Assistant Professor, IASST, and convener, Internal Complain Committee, IASST.
