on 08.11.2022 a Webinar on ‘Right to Privacy vis-a-vis IT Act’ was organised by R C Gauhati South, Shillong Heritage & Rotaract South Guwahati, huge participation of 402 on zoom and 220 on youtube involving Rotarians, Rotaractors and especially students of law, with including teachers & students of NLU, Assam, NEF & JB Law College, Royal School of Law, USTM (Law). Guest Speaker was ‘Justice Jasti Chelameswar, former CJ of Guwahati High Court & former Judge of Supreme Court of India. Project Convenor, Rtn Swapan Jyoti Sarma gave Welcome address, PDG Rtn Debashish Das stated the purpose of Webinar, Ms. Rakhee S. Choudhury, Advocate, gave Introductory remarks. Justice Chelameswar - spoke about the changes brought about by the progress in AI & biotechnology and said that full contours of the Right to Privacy is not known to anybody, even to the best legal minds. Justice Chelameswar answered a variety of questions from the participants. Vote of thanks was given by Rtn Barnali Bhuyan.
